We moved a marketplace that had matured on the web into people's pockets. One codebase, live on both the App Store and Google Play. Students find tutors near them, tutors manage their requests and visibility subscriptions from the app.

IChallenge
Moving a mature search engine onto a phone is not just shrinking the screen. Location based search across hundreds of thousands of profiles, map results and instant filtering all had to stay fluid on mobile networks and modest memory, while two user types shared one app and subscriptions satisfied two stores with different rules.

A single React Native codebase ships iOS and Android together, with platform specific behaviour isolated in a thin layer.

Location based discovery was built: nearby tutors on a map, distance ordering, and instant narrowing by subject, price and lesson format.
- 03
Student and tutor experiences were separated inside one app, with a request flow, calendar, earnings view and profile management on the tutor side.

Premium visibility subscriptions were built to store rules, including restore purchases, trials and cancellation flows.

The store presence was run end to end: screenshots, subscription and privacy copy, review and release management.
